The perfect and most cost-effective roof ventilation solution for your home
Vent-A-Roof® is the latest technology in roof ventilation for metal roofs and it is proven to be the superior alternative to whirly birds for roof ventilation on new and existing residential buildings.
Temperature Control
Roof ventilation is important to maintain high liveability as well as health and safety standards in Australian buildings. It allows the hot, stagnant air that builds in the roof space to disperse to cooler outside air, which decreases the overall temperature of the structure. A well-ventilated roof means air-conditioning ducts can operate at lower temperatures, therefore using less power to cool the structure.
Condensation Management
Aside from temperature control, Vent-A-Roof® is also a great solution for condensation management as it increases airflow in your roof and is a preventative measure against the build-up of mould.
Fully Compliant System
Plus, without any moving parts or roof penetrations that may increase the chances of leakage, Vent-A-Roof® is bushfire compliant, cyclone rated for all wind categories in Australia and wind-driven rain tested. This makes it an optimal solution for Australian conditions. The perfect and most cost-effective roof ventilation solution for your home.

Frequently Asked Questions
Every house design is different. In residential housing, most of the time the main top ridge is enough to provide ample ventilation. If you are looking at getting Vent-A-Roof® installed in your existing roof, contact us direct and our team can help you. For new builds, send through the plans and we can make a recommendation.
Vent-A-Roof® is sold in boxes of 15 metres of product. To calculate exactly how much you’ll need simply use our Cost Calculator and input your project details.
The ridge itself is available in all COLORBOND® colours.
Yes, Vent-A-Roof® can vent cathedral ceilings. What is more important though is understanding the roof design so that an effective airflow system can be created from the eaves and up through to the ridge. In most situations, the eaves can be sufficiently vented to allow air to flow in between the rafters and the roof.
The lowest pitch for corrugated and concealed clip profiles is 5 degrees. A 5-rib profile can be used as low as 2 degrees. For any pitches outside of these minimums, please contact us directly for more information.
Whilst the product is easy to install, Vent-A-Roof® only recommends that the product is installed by a qualified roofer. When dealing with roofing, it’s always best to have it professionally handled as mistakes can lead to costly roof leaks.
Unfortunately, no. However, heat loss can be mitigated by blocking eave and internal vents if required. We always recommend leaving the vents open all year round as this acts as a condensation management tool that can prevent the build-up of mould in the roof space.
Our national supplier is LYSAGHT®. Go to our “Where to find us” section to find your nearest supplier.
Most certainly. This can be performed by any qualified roofer.
No, unfortunately for the system to work effectively, the existing ridge will need to be replaced with a custom Vent-A-Roof® ridge.
Eave vents are not essential but are highly recommended. Eave vents allow more air to enter the roof space. This creates a higher pressure which in turn allows more air to be removed from the house.
